I really enjoy making beautiful cupcakes. They can be simple or intricate and equally elegant. There are endless options for these single-serving treats!
These cupcakes were for a going away reception for our church’s children’s choir director. Since I know Aislin enjoys enjoys pretty things, I decided to make an assortment of Spring flowers. They are all buttercream or cream cheese icing, some with bag stripping for more realism. Flower cupcakes won’t ever go out of style– they’re just too pretty!
A client sent us this photo of “Pooh’s Beehive Cupcakes” to replicate. The original cupcakes actually used cut jelly beans for the bees’ bodies, but I chose paint some 50/50 (fondant and gum paste) bodies I hand made. I then added the almond slices as wings just like the original. These turned out pretty darn cute!
