I was honored to make another wedding cake this past weekend! This one was for a gluten sensitive bride, so I did lots of googling “Does x have gluten in it.” I came out with a mean gluten free recipe and a happy bride, so I think it was a success!
The bridal cake was a triple layer naked cake with a homemade caramel drip. I ALWAYS get nervous about dripping. It’s so unpredictable and there’s not much you can do to control it. I was super cautious on this one and it paid off. Even in the hot weather, the caramel stayed where it was supposed to!
For their guests, the bride and groom ordered 15 dozen cupcakes! There were a few gluten-free, but most of them were my apple pie cupcake with pie filing and brown sugar-cinnamon buttercream icing. It looked (and smelled) like Fall! Also, shout-out to my mom, sister and brother-in-law for helping me core and fill all of of those cupcakes!
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Stapp!
