I don’t make petit fours often, mostly because they’re super time consuming and never seem to come out the way I wanted them to. It’s been a while since my last attempt, so I hoped these would some out better since I’ve had quite a bit more decorating experience since last time. Thankfully, I was right! They’re still a bit taller than I meant for them to be. My husband kept telling me they were actually petit fives [insert eye rolling here]. Luckily, they still cooperated and didn’t fall over with the extra height, plus no one ever complains about a little extra cake.
These were a classic white cake with raspberry filling and a thin layer of buttercream. To coordinate with the silver and blue shower theme, I piped a silver baby rattle on top with royal icing.
